Qualifications for Membership

MEMBER

The key date governing membership of The Association is October 31, 1876, the date of the abolition of the Canterbury Provincial Council, and so of Canterbury as a seperate entity within New Zealand.

Those qualified for membership are:

[a] Those descended from a person who lived in Canterbury on or before October 31, 1876

[b] The husband or wife of a person who is qualified on the above criteria.

ASSOCIATE MEMBER

Those qualified for Associate membership are other interested parties who do not meet the above criteria.

SUBSCRIPTIONS

These run from April to March of the following year.

$20 per member and also per Associate, per year

DO YOU HAVE CANTERBURY PILGRIMS &EARLY SETTLERS ASSOCIATION BADGE?

They are just $5 and are available from the secretary or at our meetings.

The financial membership year now runs from April 1 to March 31 in the following year.
Subscription accounts will go out in the New Year rather than in December and be payable by the end of June.
